Currently, we employ a total of approximately 140 direct hire international civilian staff across our offices in Rome, Tel Aviv, and Cairo and two military bases in Sinai, Egypt. Most international employment contracts are for two-years renewable, with either single or accompanied status, and include free housing and comprehensive medical coverage. MFO international civilian employees may also be eligible for tax reimbursement. The base salary scale for international civilian employees is provided below.
MFO international civilian employees assigned to the Sinai also enjoy free meals, recreational facilities, and annual travel benefits. For positions based in the Sinai, Egypt, the MFO prefers individuals with prior Middle East experience and who are self-starters with excellent communications skills. They should have the ability to live in a relatively austere environment.

Fire Station Sub-Officer
The Multinational Force and Observers seeks an experienced Sub-Officer for its Fire Branch in the Sinai.
The Fire Station Sub-Officer will be responsible for the operational characteristics, services, and activities of the fire and rescue service and for the safe operation, maintenance, and use of all operational fire-fighting and rescue equipment; he/she will supervise local national staff in training, coordinate the work of lower level staff; interpret and explain fire and rescue service policies and procedures; brief staff in fire safety awareness; and prepare clear and concise reports.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years` experience in local authority, civil aviation or military fire service with at least three years at Leading Fireman level. He/she must be physically capable of carrying out and supervising firefighting activities and carrying or manipulating heavy loads/equipment.
A two-year, unaccompanied-status contract is offered with travel benefits, free housing, recreational facilities, food, and medical care included. May be eligible for tax free status.
This is an MFO Grade 7 position.
