2025 Force Skills Competition

On Tuesday, 4 November 2025, one of the year’s most anticipated events took center stage at South Camp: the Annual Force Skills Competition. Designed to highlight the operational readiness and teamwork of the MFO, the event brought together teams from across the mission for a spirited day of friendly rivalry and skillful performance.

From morning to afternoon, participants navigated a series of challenging scenarios set up around the camp. Each station focused on a different aspect of military proficiency, including marksmanship, tactical casualty care, safe driving, explosive threat awareness, conducting observations, and reporting. These activities gave teams the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in a fast-paced environment that mirrored the practical tasks and teamwork essential to MFO mission success.

Energy ran high as competitors moved between the many events. The day concluded with a final challenge, where the top contenders went head-to-head in a display of camaraderie, determination, and MFO spirit.

This year’s competition saw strong participation among our contingents. When the scores were tallied, the New Zealand contingent claimed the top spot, with the Australian Contingent winning silver, and the Canadian Contingent, bronze. All participants and units highlighted their skills, professionalism, and teamwork, setting an impressive standard for future competitions.

More than just a contest, the Force Skills Competition commemorates shared commitments, cooperation, and the pursuit of excellence. We congratulate all this year’s winners and participants for their efforts and for contributing their expertise to the MFO mission.
