Across South Camp, North Camp, and the wider mission area, the MFO continues to reinforce that mission success and safety are inseparable. Recent safety focused engagements, training, and daily practice have reaffirmed a shared commitment to achieving the mission through disciplined and safe operations.

On International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026, the MFO proudly recognizes the vital value women bring to our daily work and to the overall success of our mission. Women contribute across the organization in a wide variety of roles, and their professionalism, dedication, and leadership strengthen everything we do.

The MFO is pleased to announce that the Government of Japan has approved $216,000 in supplemental funding for FY 2026 to support critical infrastructure improvements in Sinai.

Visits are a crucial element in understanding the MFO, our mission, and our role in promoting regional peace and stability. These visits foster productive dialogue with our Egyptian and Israeli colleagues, representatives of MFO Troop-Contributing and Donor States, and friends. Importantly, visits also allow diplomatic staff and senior representatives the opportunity to visit their sailors, soldiers, and aviators that contribute to the MFO mission.

The MFO welcomed delegations from Egypt, Israel, and the United States and representatives from our Supporting States to the Annual Plenary meeting in Rome on Monday, January 19, 2026.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of two colleagues from our wider MFO community, Ahmad Abdel Wahab and Ahmad Hamed, who tragically passed away in a vehicle accident on January 8, 2026.

The MFO was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Major General Tryggve Tellefsen of Norway, on 27 December 2025, and of Major General Robert Meating of Canada, on 01 January 2026.

On Tuesday, 4 November 2025, one of the year’s most anticipated events took center stage at South Camp: the Annual Force Skills Competition.
