On April 3, 2023, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, and MFO Director General Elizabeth L. Dibble concluded a participation agreement to provide military engineering personnel in Sinai in support of the MFO mission.
Director General Dibble thanked the government of Serbia for making participation in the MFO a reality. She said it was a great honor to have Serbia among the family of MFO Troop-Contributing States to sustain the MFO mission and further peace between Egypt and Israel.
The MFO anticipates welcoming the first Serbian contingent in Sinai in the coming months.
