The MFO is pleased to announce that the Government of Japan has generously agreed to provide supplemental project funding for a ninth consecutive year to ensure the safety of our personnel and the effectiveness of our mission.

This year’s contribution, amounting to $580,000, will be used to acquire an urgently required armored bus. This contribution will provide greater flexibility to the MFO’s vehicle fleet and also counter risk to our personnel executing critical missions and activities.

The MFO heartily thanks the Government of Japan for this supplemental contribution in addition to its ongoing regular contribution towards food costs and civilian personnel salaries. We are tremendously grateful for the solid and wide-ranging support Japan provides, in funding and personnel, towards our peacekeeping mission and peace between Egypt and Israel.
