The MFO is honored to receive a new contingent composed of personnel from the Serbian Armed Forces. At 13:00 on 9 July 2023, the Serbian flag was officially raised in front of the Force Headquarters in South Camp, Sinai, by the first members of the freshly formed Serbian Contingent (SERCON).

The Force Commander, Major General (MG) Pavel Kolář, and Force Sergeant Major, Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) William King, officiated the flag raising and hailed the new Serbian contingent. Following the ceremony, MG Kolář offered welcoming words to the latest MFO members: “the strength and value of our organization is our people, and the different cultural perspectives they bring to the table. As the Force Commander, I am happy to see a new perspective added to the Force, and I look forward to seeing what fresh ideas and new solutions SERCON will offer us.”

The Serbian contingent is composed of ten military personnel who fill positions within the Force Engineering Office.
