Supporting States Visit – June 13, 2022

The Multinational Force and Observers in the Sinai was honored to welcome representatives of ten MFO Supporting States (Australia, Canada, Colombia, Finland, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States) to the MFO’s North Camp.

Visitors included Ambassadors, Deputy Heads of Missions, Military Attachés, and other diplomatic officials from Tel Aviv embassies. The MFO’s Force Commander, Major General Evan Williams, hosted the event which focused on the vital role Supporting States play in sustaining MFO operations, the ongoing successful conduct of our Observe, Verify, and Report mission, and our continuing measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our personnel. Representatives from Troop-Contributing States were also able to meet with members of their military contingents.

The MFO is pleased to host these familiarization visits for our Supporting State representatives as they provide an opportunity to demonstrate the important work we carry out in support of Egypt and Israel’s peace and to thank our Supporting States for their generous contributions of military personnel and/or financial funding.
