On 3 April 2023, the MFO offered their last goodbyes to First Deputy Sergeant Marlon Fernando Bonilla Medina from the Colombian Contingent (COLCON) during a ceremony at the MFO’s North Camp.
He sadly lost his life in Sinai on 1 April 2023 following a vehicle incident while out on mission in the MFO’s northern area of operations.
On 5 April, the MFO and COLCON leadership held a memorial ceremony to honor First Deputy Sergeant Bonilla Medina's sacrifice and service. This was followed by a Memorial Mass.
