Marking World Suicide Prevention Day

On September 10th, people around the world marked Suicide Prevention Day, recognized as an event aimed at spreading awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide. This day provides a forum to discuss the causes of suicide and to promote support networks and mental health well-being.

As part of the campaign to raise awareness about Suicide Prevention Day, MFO Sinai came together for a group discussion on September 10th at both North and South Camp. The event’s aim was to raise awareness, share insights, and promote an environment of open dialogue about mental health challenges and suicide prevention strategies.

Led by the Force Behavioral Health Office and the Force Chaplain’s Office, participants engaged in discussions surrounding the importance of promoting proactive conversations about mental health, on fostering a culture of understanding and empathy, and on how to encourage those in need to seek help. Those attending left with a renewed commitment to promote productive discussions about mental health and to create a positive workspace.

The MFO stands committed to educating its people to engage in open dialogue. In a collaborative and inclusive environment, we can all save lives and support those who may be struggling.
